Certification gives your organisation a top-to-toe examination to assess compliance against a specific standard/s. If your organisation meets all the relevant requirements as defined by the standard, you will be awarded certification for a set period, normally between 1-4 year cycle. You will need to be re-certified prior to this lapsing in order to maintain ongoing compliance. It’s a serious certification, for serious organisations.
During the certification audit your auditing body will check whether all the main elements of your organisational management system are in place. This includes all the documentation, all the required records and all the processes. The auditor will also check whether the main processes are working as they are described in the documentation.
There are three key stages to the Certification process:
